Perfect Peace

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14
In the midst of turmoil it can be difficult to remain peaceful. When problems and stress surround us, we must remember that in the midst of the storm, we need NOT look at the waves and flashes of lightening, nor listen to the howling wind, but only keep our eyes on Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our ears tuned to His voice. (Matthew 8:23-27) As we discipline ourselves to focus on Jesus, instead of our situation, we can experience the promise which Isaiah mentioned, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)
In difficulty, God promises to never leave nor forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31-16, Hebrews 13;5) He tells us not to fear and reminds us that He will maintain, sustain, defend and protect us. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10) Our God can do exceedingly more than we can ask or imagine. (Eph. 3:20) Trust Him. He protects those who abide in His shelter. (Psalm 91:1)
As we face circumstances that appear larger than life, we must peacefully trust that the Lord is fighting for us. “The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

(Zephaniah 3:17)
