Let Your Faith be Seen not Heard

I have heard it said, “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. – James 2:17-18
There are many Christians who talk about faith in God. Their words are many, but their actions do not support their oration. There are others who’s faith is lived out silently…expressed in mundane moments and unexpected ways.
There is little value to live life as a “Peddler of God’s Word”, all talk and no action. Instead be the fragrance of Christ as you live an active life of faith characterized by few words.

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
