Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” It’s the gentle call of our Savior. Sit quietly for a moment-can you hear His voice? He promises to never leave nor forsake us. He promises that His power is made perfect in our weakness. He promises strength for each moment, rest in the midst of our difficulty. Do you believe Him? Do I believe Him? And if we do is it evident by the way we live?

What is the secret to power…strength…rest?

The secret is so simple that many times we just rush right past it.
Come close and hear me whisper the secret.
“Come”………..”Come to Jesus”.

When life is busy do we “come” to Him?
During those moments when we need Him most: those times of celebration as well as those times of despair, do we come to Him or do we just rush right past Him focusing on the day’s troubles?

Let’s take time today, it won’t take long. In fact the time we spend seeking Jesus will replace some of our “worry” time. So if you ask me that is a pretty good trade!
“Come to Him”! Let’s invite Him to join us, not only when we are at our best, but when life becomes dirty and complicated and even overwhelming. In those difficult circumstances, let’s take a moment, just a moment, and ask for His help, invite Him to live life with us, and then let’s see what a difference He makes. I bet He won’t disappoint us.

Oh, Kina, you’ve done it again. Amazing and wonderful, just when I need it the most. Thanks for another thought-provoking reminder of one big way we can live WITH Jesus and FOR Him as well in the right here and now! Hugs to you and Rodney as you are teaching your girls how to live with Jesus always. I know it isn’t always easy!

“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and RESTED the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” Lev. 20:11
