Whisper

It is cold in the house tonight. November rain gently falls outside and I am awake. After lying in bed for two hours, I now sit at the dining room table enjoying a 2 am bowl of cereal. I am tired but not sleepy so, instead of returning to bed, I write. This is a common routine these days. Most all of my writing takes place in moments like these, moments when the house is quiet.

From my seat I can hear the hum of the refrigerator and the tick of a clock, beyond that there is silence. In just a few short hours the alarm clock will ring and the business of the day will begin, but for now all is quiet and still.

Stillness- how often you elude me. For a moment, I can hear my thoughts. I choose to linger & think of Him…to feel His presence around me. What would my life be like without Him. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life, He is Peace…like a blanket that wraps around me, He is my Strength, My Hope, My Comforter, My Faithful Friend. He is my Savior Jesus Christ. I’m so thankful that He whispers…”Come to Me”.
(Matthew 11:28)

What does He whisper to you?

Kina, this one is especially good…I can relate to it as I do to all of your posts in one way or another. I like your writing style too! I understand, perhaps b/c it is woman to woman. Who knows? Quien sabe?
